Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State at the commissioning of the Ta'al Orange Market Sites and Services Scheme and Ta'al Orange Market Road, Mararaba, both in Karu Local Government Area; as part of activities marking his first 100 days in office.

The former slum area of about 19 hectares has an asphalt road network covering 3.7 kilometers, 58,000 water storage capacity and multiple electricity transformers for power supply with 146 plots for allocation to the general public - making it the first successful site and services scheme in the history of Nasarawa State.

While making his remark at the event, Hon. Sonny appreciated the foresight of the immediate past Governor of the state (Sen. Umaru Tanko Al-Makura) for initiating the scheme and explained that there are many other areas that require the attention of the Nasarawa State Government, especially the Gurku - Kabusu 13,000 smart city project. He assured that residents of Nasarawa State will have decent environments for accommodation with the support, knowledge and exposure of Governor Sule.

Engr. Sule while giving an address pledged to leverage on the closeness of Karu to the Federal Capital Territory by providing the required facilities to attract development and investments to Nasarawa State. He remarked that the Ta'al Orange Market road was constructed at the cost N299 million while N1.2 billion was committed to transforming the slum area into a decent environment for accommodation.
